About

We build trails that make us appreciate the place we’re in.

About

Every trail should feel like it belongs where it was built.

High Traverse Trails, LLC is based in Bozeman, Montana and specializes in private trail projects. Each route is designed for the client and the intended use while considering terrain, drainage, vegetation, long-term maintenance, user experience, access, and the surrounding environment.

ATV

ATV trails built for recreation and land access—connecting vast spans of land for seamless touring and travel. Each route is designed around machine access, grade, drainage, sightlines, and the way the property is actually used.

Hike

We build hiking trails where simply walking the terrain isn’t an option—bringing you to places that would otherwise be difficult to reach. Each trail is designed around the experience and level of difficulty you’re looking for.

MTB

Mountain bike trails designed around speed, flow, technical character, rider level, and repeatable fun. We build technical e-bike climbing routes and flow trails with a strong focus on safety—using curves, sightlines, and rider trajectories to maximize both fun and control.

Equestrian

Equestrian trails designed around the horse, rider, terrain, and purpose of the route. From primitive corridor cutting and hand-cut singletrack to machine-built trails and wider tread for comfortable, easy travel, we build access that fits the land and the way you want to ride it.

I grew up in Bozeman, fortunate to spend much of my free time exploring the land around it.

From friends’ working cattle ranches and guest horseback guiding to wandering the surrounding forests on dirt bikes and mountain bikes, those experiences gave me a lasting appreciation for the adventure and wonder of the natural world.

I spent summers landscaping while earning my undergraduate degree in pre-med exercise science, then completed a master’s in exercise physiology with a focus on biomechanics. Along the way, I became fascinated by the relationship between people, movement, and design—from studying running shoes during the rise of maximal cushioning to investigating how ski-touring equipment influences uphill efficiency.

That curiosity carries directly into trail building. I care about how a route feels underfoot, on a bike, or from the saddle; how it follows the terrain; and how it changes the way someone experiences their land.

I believe movement is medicine. My goal is to build trails that bring light, joy, and purpose to the people who use them—and a deeper appreciation for the landscapes they call their own.
